Wellness Disclaimer
Plink Health is designed for wellness, self-reflection, and informational purposes only. Plink Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
Third-Party Data Sources
Data connected from wearable devices, Apple Health, Fitbit, Oura, EHR systems, or other third-party services may vary in accuracy, completeness, and availability. Plink Health does not independently verify third-party wellness or health data.
How We Protect Your Data
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data, and we use encryption to protect your information.
- Encryption in transit. All data moving between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption at rest. Sensitive personal and health information is encrypted in our databases using AES-256-GCM, with encryption keys managed and protected by a dedicated secure cloud key-management service.
- Connected-account credentials. Access tokens for services you connect, such as Fitbit or Oura, are stored encrypted and are never exposed in plain text.
- Access controls. Access to systems that store your data requires authenticated, role-based authorization and is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service, under the principle of least privilege.
- Audit logging. Access to sensitive health information within our systems is recorded in audit logs so that it can be reviewed and monitored.
- Infrastructure. Our services run on secure cloud infrastructure. Databases reside in private, network-isolated environments that are not directly reachable from the public internet.
- Incident response. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal data, we will investigate promptly and notify affected users and authorities where required by applicable law.
We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect all applications and systems that make use of your data against unauthorized or unlawful access, use, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continuously review and improve our safeguards.
Data Retention and Deletion
- How long we keep your data. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- How to delete your data. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time from within the app, or by contacting admin@plinkhealth.com.
- What happens when you delete. Your personal data—including wellness, mood, and connected-device data—is deleted from our active systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Connected services. Data obtained through third-party integrations, such as Fitbit, is deleted on the same schedule. You may also disconnect any integration at any time, which stops all further collection from that source.
Third-Party Services, Integrations, and Limited Use
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under agreements that restrict their use of your data:
- Secure cloud infrastructure provider—hosting, storage, and encryption key management
- Google Firebase—push notification delivery and de-identified crash and usage diagnostics
-
Integrations you choose to connect:
- Apple Health (processed on your device)
- Fitbit / Google Health API
- Oura
- Fasten Health (electronic health record connections)
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Google User Data (Fitbit / Google Health API)
Plink Health’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs, including the Google Health API, will adhere to the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use data received from these APIs only to provide and improve the features you see in the app—displaying your activity, sleep, and related wellness metrics and generating your personal insights. We do not:
- Use this data for advertising
- Sell this data
- Allow humans to read this data, except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or as part of aggregated, de-identified analysis
Community Guidelines
Content shared within the Plink Health community is intended for informational and peer-support purposes only and should not be considered medical advice.
Your Choices
You may request updates or deletion of your account information by contacting us directly. You may disconnect any linked service—Apple Health, Fitbit, Oura, or an EHR connection—at any time in Settings, which stops further data collection from that source. You may also revoke Plink Health’s access directly in your Google or Fitbit account settings.
Children’s Privacy
Plink Health is intended for adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at admin@plinkhealth.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Plink Health after an update means you accept the revised policy.
